Forest Hill, Toronto, Real Estate

Listings Walkscore Quarterly Reports

forest hill real estate torontoOnce voted by the Robb report as the fourth best place to live in the world. It has the distinction of being one of Toronto's most prestigious luxury neighbourhoods. Incorporated in 1923, Forest Hill had as one of its founding principles the requirement that each home be  individually designed by an architect. To this day Forest hill, while retaining its history of fine homes and inspired mansions, boasts some of the best selection of traditional architecture intertwined with avant gard contemporary styling.

Can You Picture Yourself Living In A Wonderful Home Like This?  Walking Distance From The Best Schools Central Toronto Has To Offer, Parks, Recreation Facilities, Shopping, Cafes, Subway, Bus, And Places Of Worship.  Forest Hill Village Is A Very Fine, Well Established Neighbourhood.  It Used To Have Its Own Political System, Police And Fire Departments, And The Garbage Was Picked Up From Behind Your House And Take To The Truck, And Then The Empty Cans Were Returned To The Back Of Your House.  This Was Done Twice Weekly.  This Does Not Happen Any More, Some Things Change, But Others Do Not, And In Spite Of Some Changes, Forest Hill Village Still Remains One Of The Most Desirable Neighbourhoods In All Of Toronto.  Having Said What I Have Just Said, There Are Those In Rosedale, The Bridle Path, And Lawrence Park Who May Disagree.

The north homes are more modest on 40-50 ft lots dominated Tudor and Georgian style homes. What is unique about the north you are still able to find traditional English country manors and French colonials that tend to be luxurious to the detail.

Forest Hill like Rosedale is set amongst the Beltline railway and boasts beautiful walking and biking paths throughout. Known for its beautiful architecture and gardens a stroll down most of the streets is a wonderful escape from everyday life.

Shopping is wonderful in this area as you see less of the big box stores and the streets particularly in The Village are lined with small boutiques and fine restaurants to please any taste. If you are looking for one of the finest neighbourhoods in Toronto close to both north and south Toronto then Forest Hill is the place to live.
